Have an idea for a book but are unsure of where to begin? No problem! At Your Written Book, we follow a systematic process that has achieved amazing results for nonfiction authors with incredible ideas but no time to spend writing.
Step 1: The Consultation
Our initial consultation will cover all the elements of your written book, from conception through publication… and beyond. We’ll listen to your goals and provide feedback based on our experiences. After the consultation, we’ll send you a recommendation with timelines and fees.
Step 2: The Formal Agreement
When we decide to form an agreement, we’ll both sign contracts to solidify our partnership. In most cases, we’ll also require an upfront retainer of a portion of the estimated project costs.
Step 3: The Interview(s)
Our next step is to gather all your information and conduct interviews with you and any other person(s) who should be contacted.
Step 4: Writing and Initial Editing
At this stage, the writing of your book will begin. Throughout the process, we’ll add marketing “call to action” elements to help you profit from your book.
At pre-determined points in the writing process, you will be sent chapters (or sections) of your written book to review and/or edit. By the end of the writing process, you will have had the opportunity to review the entire manuscript.
Step 5: Final Editing
When you are satisfied with your book, it will go through a final editorial process. It will also be placed into a traditional and/or ebook format (depending upon your initial requests.) Cover artwork is also an option.
Step 6: Publication
If you do not have a publisher, we can help you choose a place for publication. We can also help you purchase an ISBN number.
Step 7: Marketing
Though not every client wants assistance in marketing his or her written book, most find it to be a logical step in the process. Our marketing fees are competitive and geared toward the highest degree of profitability possible for you.
